"I have been practicing yoga for about 5
years. Yoga helped me throughout my pregnancy to make me
feel relaxed and less stressed. I feel more comfortable
as my body changes with each trimester. It has helped ease
my aches and pains, especially back pain and pressure in
my hips.
I exercised throughout my pregnancy. I ran, did step aerobics,
strength trained and practiced yoga. Over time I had to
modify to accommodate my changing body and listen and cut
back on my workouts to honor my body when I would feel
tired.
I truly believe that
being active helped me to have a positive and healthy pregnancy.
I was very fortunate to have a healthy pregnancy with
few complaints. I attribute my feeling of well being to
my yoga practice and exercise routines.
Even when I would feel fatigued, getting my body moving
made me feel energized.
Keep moving and do
what you can. Listen to your body. Enjoy this very special
time in your life and embrace the miraculous changes in
your body each stage of pregnancy."
